Booksellers in central NY will have the chance to meet and discuss the issues facing them, such as: author appearances; industry resources; their online presence, etc. during our roundtable discussion. Hachette Book Group and Syracuse University Press will do a pick of the list, followed by our own suggestions for each other. And somewhere in there we'll have time for lunch.

Independents Week, July 1-7 in towns across America
The annual Independents Week campaign highlights everything we love about hometown businesses and recognizes their social, cultural and economic importance to the community. Participating communities engage citizens in community-building activities, promotions and more. AMIBA provide templates and how-to's, including suggestions for activities.You choose what to do locally.

More than 180 communities participated in 2007, generating great media coverage in many communities. Many IBAs use the events to build their media presence, recruit members, and open the door to City Hall. We hope every IBA will participate.
